Jon Ronson talks about how social media can destroy a person with a single “tweet” or a post. We all make mistakes, but now if you make a mistake on the internet, in just a matter of hours, the world knows what you “did.” Jon points out how the lack of humanity has been taken to extremes under the guise of anonymity as people attack someone because of their politically incorrect tweet or comment.

People lose their jobs and their lives because of bad judgement or a bad joke. Does social media go too far, or should people be held accountable for their on-line actions? Read more about it in Jon’s book, So You’ve Been Publicly Shamed.
